Our dogs live with us in our home, they are part of our family and our every day lives. Swissies are big dogs, that love to be with their family. They are not well suited to spending long hours alone. And yes big, and they get big very quickly, so it is vital to do at least basic obedience starting as a puppy. When we got Ruby, she was 8 weeks old and weighed 16lbs, by Christmas, @ 6 months old she weighed 87lbs. Swissies also can be very vocal, Ruby loves to talk, and the bark, a big "Baarooo" when someone comes to the front door, or when something is simply out of place.
Producing healthy puppies is of top priority, although genetics is unpredictable we will ensure the parents of our puppies have passing health clearances prior to breeding including hips, shoulders, elbows, eyes, and cardiac graded by OFA and PennHip.
